Package Highlights

This event is one of the most representative spring races in Japan’s Shikoku region, previously known for the magnificent scenery along the Yoshino River and enthusiastic Awa Odori cheering support. To mark the 20th edition in 2027, the organizer has significantly revamped the course, greatly reducing the proportion of the Yoshino River embankment section that was prone to strong crosswinds and instead increasing the share of streets within Tokushima City, allowing runners to experience the cityscape more deeply.

This edition is also specially designated as the Tokushima open event of the "2027 Kansai World Masters Games" and will, for the first time, adopt a cross-municipality point-to-point route, starting in Tokushima City and finishing in Naruto City. With a 6.5-hour time limit, it is a popular marathon that combines a fresh challenge with sightseeing appeal.
