- Drafting, pacing, carrying flotation devices, hand paddles, fins, snorkels, etc. are prohibited. Violators will be disqualified.
- For the swim, inflatable air bladders and sleeveless wetsuits are allowed.
- Athletes wearing long-sleeve wetsuits must expose or mark their race number on the arm, calf, or another visible area for result identification. Failure to comply will result in a time penalty.
- Violations will result in time penalties; serious violations will lead to disqualification.
■Challenge Category (for self-challengers)
- No age groups, rankings, prize money, or trophies (individual finish results will still be recorded)
- Swimmers may use a tow float (must enter the water at the back of the group)
Special Notes for Athletes: (Please read carefully)
- Participating athletes are obligated to understand the route, road conditions, and relevant regulations before the race. If injury, death, or damage is caused to others due to personal negligence, the athlete shall bear legal and compensation liability. Please take note.
- If an athlete is involved in a collision with a road user or vehicle during the cycling segment (regardless of injury), it is considered a general traffic accident. Vehicles at the accident scene must not be moved. The police should be called first, and event staff should be notified for assistance. Both the people and vehicles involved must remain at the scene for investigation and must not continue the race, in order to avoid criminal liability for hit-and-run.
- Participants must ensure they are in good health. Please carefully assess your own health condition. If you have a history of chronic conditions such as heart disease, vascular disease, diabetes, asthma, etc., do not conceal your condition and do not participate. Otherwise, you will bear all consequences yourself.
- The organizer will only provide emergency treatment for injuries or illness occurring during the race and assumes no responsibility for theft or incidents unrelated to the race.
- It is strictly prohibited to participate if you have consumed alcohol, taken medication, or are mentally fatigued before the race.
- If you feel unwell during the race, stop all activity immediately and rest in a shaded area. Contact event staff for assistance or ask others or fellow athletes for help. Please value your life and do not force yourself to continue, to avoid endangering your health.
- The cycling and running courses cannot be fully closed to traffic. Please stay near the side of the road, do not enter fast lanes or ride against traffic, and watch for vehicles in front and behind.
- To avoid riding hazards, do not hang the organizer's transition bag on your bike handlebars or any other part of the bike as luggage.
- All athletes intending to participate must carefully read all contents of the event guidelines above, assess their own health condition and insurance coverage before registering. Registration is deemed agreement to the above terms, and the organizer is not responsible for the disputes mentioned above.
Race Notes: (Please read carefully)
- The race proceeds in the order of swimming, cycling, and running.
- Except for the swim cap designated and provided by the organizer, all other equipment (swimsuit, goggles, bicycle, helmet, cycling and running apparel, etc.) must be prepared by the athlete in order to participate.
- This event allows wetsuits for the swim (if wearing a long-sleeve wetsuit, please mark or expose your race number yourself).
- The steps along the lakeshore may be used for brief rest, but swimmers are strictly prohibited from walking forward along the lakeshore steps. Violators will be disqualified.
- Athletes must wait by the water before the swim start. Trial swimming is not allowed once the swim course has been cleared. Those who do so will be penalized as unauthorized pre-start swimming.
- Private aid from moving cars or bikes during the cycling segment is strictly prohibited. Violators will be disqualified. For 226KM, private aid from friends or family may only be provided within the designated organizer aid station area (30 meters).
- Trash disposal zones are set up at cycling and running aid stations. Do not litter bottles, paper cups, trash, etc. Violators will be disqualified.
- The cycling and running courses cannot be fully closed to traffic. Please stay on the slow lanes at the sides of the road and watch carefully for vehicles in front and behind while riding and running.
- Different course sections have different time limits. To avoid being unable to complete the race within the time limit due to fatigue later in the event, participants are strongly advised to have the physical ability for long-distance open-water swimming, long-distance cycling, long-distance running, and rapid continuous transitions.
- As a precaution, if athletes feel unwell on race day, they should not force themselves to participate. Event referees or doctors have the right to stop an athlete from continuing based on their physical condition, and the athlete may not object. Otherwise, all responsibility lies with the athlete.
- Overtaking is strictly prohibited on downhill sections, corners, and dangerous areas to avoid accidents. Violators will receive an additional 3–5 minute penalty.
- Danger is more likely in transition areas, aid stations, town streets, narrow sections, turnaround points, gas stations, shops, stores, bus stops, etc. For safety, athletes should slow down on their own and watch for other people, crowds, and vehicles.
- If a typhoon, nationally declared epidemic, or other force majeure natural disaster occurs before the race, the organizer has the right, for the safety of athletes and participants, to cancel all races or individual segments, postpone, or adjust the race route and race items. Participating athletes may not object. Please pay close attention to organizer announcements regarding any race changes. If the organizer announces the cancellation of all races and suspension of all activities, the remaining balance after deducting incurred expenses, shipping, administrative fees, etc. will be refunded.
- If force majeure occurs on race day and the organizer cancels the event, it will not be postponed and no refund will be given. Finisher souvenirs will be distributed to athletes on site.
- If a substitute runner and the person being substituted for are confirmed, the head referee will declare the results invalid, impose a three-year ban, and publish the names of both parties online.
- Those who fail to comply with organizer regulations before or after the race and cause unnecessary disputes, especially in serious cases, will be listed as unwelcome and refused future registration.
- It is strictly prohibited to race shirtless in the cycling and running segments. Violators will receive a 3-minute penalty; serious cases will result in disqualification.
- The transition bag provided by the organizer is for use in the transition area only. Do not hang it on the bike handlebars as luggage while riding, to avoid danger.
- On race day, the organizer will arrange public liability insurance for the event in accordance with regulations. Athletes should purchase their own personal competitive accident insurance.
- Please bring identification and your National Health Insurance IC card.
