- For other competition rules and explanations, please carefully read the event handbook distributed at check-in or visit the association's website.
- Different segments have different time limits. To avoid being unable to complete the race within the allotted time due to exhaustion later in the competition, participants are strongly advised to have the physical ability for long-distance open-water swimming, long-distance cycling, and long-distance running, as well as the skills for continuous and rapid transitions.
- As a precaution, if participants feel unwell on race day, please do not force yourself to compete. The jury committee's decision shall be final. A deposit of NT$3,000 must also be paid at the same time. If the appeal is unsuccessful, the deposit will be forfeited and used as event funds.
- Participants must obey the referees' decisions and may not question or insult referees on the spot so as to maintain the progress of the competition. Serious misconduct will result in disqualification.
- If you have questions regarding results or rulings, please provide supporting evidence before the event ends. No appeals will be accepted after the event has concluded.
Notes on Public Liability Accident Insurance:
Dear triathletes: Exercise is an important element in maintaining a healthy body. Please assess your condition in all three disciplines on the day of the event and participate within your limits. Also, please get sufficient sleep the day before the event and eat 2 hours before the race on the day of competition. The association will only provide necessary emergency medical aid on site. Illnesses caused by pre-existing conditions are not covered, and public liability accident insurance only covers compensation for injuries caused by accidents. For this event, the organizer has purchased public liability accident insurance of NT$3 million per participant.
(Public liability accident insurance is currently the only type of insurance that event organizers in Taiwan can purchase for competitions. All details are subject to the insurance contract of the underwriting company.)
Note: All participants must arrange their own insurance.
Coverage of Public Liability Accident Insurance:
- If, during the insurance period, the insured becomes legally liable for compensation due to bodily injury, death, or property damage to a third party caused by the following accidents, and a claim for compensation is made, the insurance company shall be responsible for compensation to the insured. "If a participant is injured, dies, or suffers property damage due to negligence in the organizer's event facilities or staff responsibilities, the insurance company will provide compensation. However, if the participant's own personal factors cause their own injury, death, or property damage, the insurance company will not provide compensation. This public liability accident insurance is different from personal accident insurance (the insurance company will only provide compensation if the organizer is negligent and the incident occurs at the event venue or along the route). Participants are advised to carefully consider their own safety and purchase personal accident insurance on their own."
- Specific exclusions:
- Sports injuries caused by personal illness.
- Symptoms caused by personal constitution or one's own cardiovascular conditions, such as shock, heart disease, diabetes, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, altitude sickness, epilepsy, dehydration, asthma, etc.
- Illnesses caused by one's own pre-existing conditions are not covered by insurance. If participants have a medical history related to the diseases mentioned in the second item above, they are advised to carefully consider their own safety and purchase personal accident insurance on their own.
Additional Notes:
Please understand the above rules and ensure your own physical condition before registering. Only register if you agree.
If there are any matters not covered in this event guide, the organizer may revise and announce them at any time, and the organizer's published information shall prevail.
