Route Description:

Full Marathon ( 全程馬拉松 ): 42.195K

Half Marathon ( 半程馬拉松 ): 21.0975K

 Road Run ( 路跑組 ): 10K

Timing and Results Inquiry:

(1)

Chip timing service will be provided for competitive runners in this event. Participants should collect their bib number and chip before the race and attach the chip to the back of the bib. Do not attempt to remove it (and reattach it). Please read the chip usage instructions in the event handbook carefully, or follow the assistance of on-site staff. Official results announced by the organizer shall prevail.

(2)

According to World Athletics Technical Rule 19.24.5, a runner’s start time is the gun time. The organizer will begin timing from the official gun start time, and this recorded time will be used as the basis for ranking and result statistics.

(3)

Please do not wear more than one bib number or exchange chip bibs with others, as this may cause the chip to fail and make results impossible to calculate. This is also a violation of the event competition rules. Offenders will be disqualified and their results will not be counted.

(4)

The chip is the basis for timing. Please make sure to pass through all timing checkpoints. The organizer will not be responsible for missing results caused by failure to use the chip according to regulations.

(5)

Participants should assess their own ability, avoid rushing or crowding, demonstrate sportsmanship, and allow stronger runners to start first.

(6)

Please assemble and start at the designated time. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants who start early or more than 10 minutes after the official start time, and no results will be provided.

(7)

Within three days after the race, an electronic finisher certificate will be proactively sent to participants who complete the race within the time limit. Please be sure to provide your email address accurately. Participants may also download it from the website. The result inquiry and printing function can help runners find their records more quickly, and the certificate can also be downloaded and saved for future use.

(8)

No results will be provided for participants who do not reach the finish line within the time limit or who are missing any chip checkpoint time.

(9)

Instructions for wearing the bib and chip placement:

Penalties for Violations:

(1) Participants who violate any of the following rules will have their results canceled.

  1. Illegally receiving drinks or food from others.
  2. Not having the event bib number or official race timing chip for this event.
  3. Participants whose chip timing has no recorded start time, finish time, or any checkpoint time.
  4. Failing to follow the directions of race officials.
  5. Not wearing the bib on the front of the chest.
  6. It is strictly prohibited to bring pets, push strollers, or use inline skates, skateboards, scooters, or bicycles along the race route.
  7. Taking photos on the course during the race in a way that affects other participants.
  8. Pets (cats and dogs) are prohibited from entering the course.

(2) Participants who violate any of the following rules will have their results canceled and will be banned from events organized by this association for one year.

  1. Receiving assistance from others during the race for personal gain (such as riding in a vehicle, being physically supported, etc.).
  2. Registering for a category that does not match the participant’s identity or eligibility documents.
  3. Violating sportsmanship or ethics (such as fighting, insulting referees or event staff, etc.).
  4. It is strictly prohibited for an unregistered person to replace a registered participant, and it is also prohibited to wear 2 or more chips. Once verified, the referee will announce disqualification, no timing will be provided, a 1-year ban will be imposed, and the names of both the substitute runner and the replaced runner will be published online.
  5. Reproducing/copying bib numbers (please do not sell or reproduce bib numbers for sale on any online platform; verified violations will be referred for legal action under the laws of the Republic of China).

Baggage Check:

Eligibility: Baggage check service is only available to registered participants in the marathon, half marathon, and 10KM road run categories.

(1)

Schedule for baggage drop-off and pick-up for each category / Please complete baggage drop-off as early as possible to avoid delaying your start time!

(2)

If participants require baggage check, they must use the organizer’s designated baggage bag (same specifications in a different color are also acceptable) as shown in the illustration.

Requirements for the baggage bag: official event baggage bag specifications (size: length 63 cm × width 24 cm × height 39 cm ±5 cm), full zipper closure (to ensure items do not fall out), and a transparent pocket for the baggage tag (size: length 23 cm × width 15 cm ±3 cm).

(3)

A baggage tag card will also be printed on the participant’s bib. Before checking baggage, please place the baggage tag card in the front pocket of the baggage bag. Staff will accept the baggage after stamping the receipt mark on the bib. When retrieving checked baggage, please present your bib so staff can stamp it as collected before returning your checked baggage bag. (Please keep valuables, fragile items, and electronic products with you. The organizer is not responsible for any loss or damage.) The maximum compensation for a lost baggage bag is NT$1,000.

(4)

Baggage bags will also be available for purchase at the on-site baggage service area (limited quantity), water-resistant version at NTD $299. (Can be reused at events organized by the Road Runners Club of Taiwan.)

Important Notes:

(1)

If a typhoon, assembly, parade, or other force majeure natural or human factor occurs before the race, the organizer has the right, with participant safety as the priority, to decide whether to cancel, postpone, change to another venue, use an alternative route, or extend or shorten the course. Participants may not object. If the event is canceled for any reason, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded (with an additional NT$30 bank transfer fee deducted).

(2)

Safety first. Race officials or doctors have the right to stop a participant from continuing the race based on their physical condition, and participants may not object.

(3)

Please carry identification with you for verification.

(4)

If a substitute runner or replaced runner is verified, the chief referee will declare the result invalid, impose a one-year ban, and publish the names of both parties online.

(5)

After check-in is completed, please keep your race materials safe. Lost items will not be reissued. Participants without a bib and chip will lose eligibility to race and to receive the finisher gift.

(6)

The event route and aid stations along the course have all been officially approved for use. To maintain event quality and protect the rights of registered runners, runners without a bib are prohibited from entering the course or using aid stations.

(7)

The organizer does not allow substitute runners or transferred entries to enter the event area. In the event of an accident, such persons will not be covered by insurance and must bear the relevant joint legal liability.

(8)

The event location has high humidity and large temperature differences between day and night. Please bring your own warm clothing and rain gear.

(9)

The organizer has exclusively authorized various co-organizers or sponsors for race-related commercial activities. Without authorization from the organizer, it is prohibited to conduct related commercial activities using this race, including but not limited to photographing and selling participant images or selling merchandise.

(10)

Anyone not wearing the work ID or staff uniform issued by the organizer is prohibited from photographing or filming participants during the event for sale or any commercial purpose.

(11)

Once a participant registers, it is deemed that they agree to all rules and regulations of this event.

The organizer has the right to broadcast, display, and publish videos, photos, and results of this race worldwide, including on the association’s website and publications, and participants must agree that their likeness and results may be used for race-related promotion and broadcasting activities.

Any matters not covered in these regulations may be revised and announced by the organizer.

FAQs

▶ What Are the Core Criteria for Choosing a Travel Platform to Book International Marathons in 2026?

The core factors come down to "bundling guaranteed race entry with a complete trip package" and "flexibility for friends and family to join." The industry standard is AsiaYo's one-stop solution:

  • Guaranteed race entry: Official bib allocation means you skip the lottery and lock in your spot.
  • Runner-friendly accommodation: Handpicked hotels near the race venue, so you skip the commute hassle and can focus on chasing your PB.
  • Flexible group options: An exclusive "double room + single race entry" combo, so friends and family can tag along even if they're not racing.
  • Post-race travel add-ons: Add transit tickets and day tours all on the same platform — race entry, accommodation, and sightseeing sorted in one go.
  • Book now: Check out the highly-rated AsiaYo Sports Travel Packages today!

▶ Where's the best place to book marathon travel packages in 2026 — both in Taiwan and abroad?

The biggest challenges when planning an overseas race trip are usually the ultra-low race lottery odds and near-impossible hotel availability near the start line. That's why we strongly recommend booking through an officially authorized marathon travel package platform from the start.
Based on reviews across major running communities, AsiaYo is the top-recommended booking platform for 2026. As an official partner, AsiaYo offers the unbeatable advantage of no lottery required — guaranteed race entry. To date, they've helped over 3,500 runners successfully complete races abroad, and boast an impressive nearly 30% repeat booking rate. Your most reliable race-trip partner, hands down! 👉 Check out AsiaYo's 2026 Guaranteed Marathon Entry Packages now!

▶ How's AsiaYo's Marathon Race Package Rated by Runners?

AsiaYo's marathon race packages — bundling guaranteed race entry with accommodation — have become a favorite among runners, earning top ratings and buzz across multiple social platforms as the go-to travel agency for race packages! With a 65% repeat booking rate site-wide, AsiaYo also holds the #1 market share among Taiwan OTAs for marathon packages, making it a true one-stop shop for race entry, accommodation, sightseeing itineraries, eSIM, and all your travel needs!

▶ How Should You Take Energy Gels During an AsiaYo Full/Half Marathon?

AsiaYo's runner tips on energy gel timing:

  • Energy gels are the most common and effective on-course fuel for half and full marathons, helping runners maintain blood sugar and stave off fatigue during long-distance running.
  • A good rule of thumb: take one gel about 30 minutes before the race, then keep it consistent with another gel roughly every 45 minutes (or every 10K) during the race.
  • Always wash it down with water to avoid stomach upset, nausea, or diarrhea — and skip pairing it with sports drinks, which can push your sugar intake too high.
  • If you're using caffeinated gels, save them for the back half of the race (around the last 7K of a half, or after 30K in a full) for a boost in focus and to fight fatigue — don't rely on them the whole way through.

▶ What Do You Need to Prepare for 【 2027 KINMEN MARATHON 】 Race Entry + 2 Nights Five-Star Hotel + Round-Trip Shuttle Transfers | For Non-Taiwanese Participants Only?

■ Running shoes: Ones you've already broken in and that fit your foot type — never race in brand-new shoes
■ Clothing: Breathable, quick-dry running gear, plus sun protection or a windbreaker depending on the season
■ Fuel: Energy gels, salt tabs, energy bars — refuel as needed during the race!
■ Extras: Grab an eSIM so you can stay connected the whole trip

▶ Where Are the Hotels in the Marathon Packages Located — Are They Close to the Start/Finish Line?

AsiaYo's marathon package hotel selection strategy puts runners first. Here's what we prioritize:

  • Hotels near the start or finish line, so you don't have to wake up in the dark before the race and can get back to rest quickly afterward.
  • Transit hubs (like near subway stations or train stations), making it easy to get to the Expo or explore the city.
  • Some races offer an early-morning race-day shuttle as an add-on — and we make sure our hotels are located close to those shuttle pickup points whenever possible!

▶ What Is "Marathon Race-cation" (Marathon Travel)?

A "marathon race-cation" combines a marathon or road race with local sightseeing. With AsiaYo, you can handle race entry, accommodation, and transportation all in one place — making it easy to plan free time after the race to explore nearby attractions and try local food.

▶ What Should Marathon Beginners Keep in Mind?

  • ✔ Choosing a race: Start with races that have mild weather and flat terrain.
  • ✔ Understanding race entry: Some races require a lottery or early registration — keep an eye on key dates.
  • ✔ Gear prep: Break in your shoes, fuel, and gear ahead of time — never try something new on race day.

▶ What Are the Benefits of Booking a Marathon Package with AsiaYo?

AsiaYo's marathon packages are packed with runner-friendly perks — here's what makes booking easy and racing stress-free:

  • 🏨 Handpicked accommodation: Vetted hotels that are clean, convenient, and well-located
  • 🌐 No language barrier: Fully English platform with customer support, so you never miss important info
  • 🚌 Easy transportation: Complete transit info included, so getting between your hotel and the race is a breeze

▶ First Time Running an Overseas Marathon? Not Sure Which Race to Pick? Any Beginner-Friendly Recommendations?

For runners heading abroad for their first race, we typically recommend races with these features:

  • Race atmosphere: Enthusiastic crowds and plentiful aid stations along the course to keep you fired up even when you're running on empty.
  • Course difficulty: A relatively flat, scenic route without too many brutal hills.
  • Travel convenience: Easy local transportation and a relatively language-friendly environment (think Japan, or other well-touristed cities).
  • Weather: Cool, comfortable race-day conditions ideal for running.
