[Cutoff (Checkpoint) Points]

- If you are significantly delayed at any point other than a checkpoint, your race will be canceled.
- Regardless of checkpoint closing times, no runner may continue running after the last runner has passed the unrestricted traffic vehicles.
- If race officials determine that a wheelchair division participant will be overtaken by participants from other divisions, that participant will be disqualified for safety reasons. Once overtaken, race officials will notify the participant that the race has been canceled and instruct them to board the support vehicle.
- You cannot continue the race after the gate closes. Runners remaining on the course after the cutoff time must immediately remove their bibs, move onto the sidewalk, and board the athlete bus as instructed by officials.
- All races will end at 12:48 PM. Traffic restrictions on the course will be lifted and the race cannot continue, so runners still on the course must immediately move onto the sidewalk, remove their bibs, and withdraw from the race.

★For the return trip, simply take the same route in reverse to get back to the hotel
Walk about 5 minutes (500 meters) from the hotel, then from "Aoba-dori Station" take the JR Sendai Line (local service bound for Kozurushinden) for 2 stops and get off at "Miyaginohara." Then walk about 4 minutes (270 meters) to reach the venue.

Recommended Attractions
Recommendations for famous sightseeing spots in Sendai to make your independent trip even more enriching
■ Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium
Featuring a large tank that recreates the rich seas of Tohoku and Miyagi, this aquarium showcases marine life from Japan and unique creatures from around the world. Through these exhibits, you can experience the captivating charm of the ocean.

■ Sendai Castle Ruins
Located in Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Sendai Castle—also known as "Aoba Castle"—was the ideal castle envisioned by the famous Sengoku warlord Date Masamune. Built in the early Edo period, it is listed among Japan's Top 100 Castles. Situated on elevated ground with steep cliffs, it was easy to defend and difficult to attack. To demonstrate sincere submission to the Tokugawa shogunate, a main keep was deliberately not constructed. The site was vast and was dismantled during the abolition of the feudal domains and establishment of prefectures in 1871, leaving behind the ruins of Sendai Castle. Within the former main bailey area are Miyagi Gokoku Shrine and the Sendai Castle Museum, where visitors can learn more about the castle's history. In 2003, it was designated a National Historic Site of Japan. The park is also home to Sendai's iconic symbol, the equestrian statue of Date Masamune. Since Sendai does not have many tall buildings, the mountaintop offers a panoramic view of the entire city.

■ Toshogu Shrine
Toshogu Shrine is a memorial shrine to Tokugawa Ieyasu in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Five of its buildings date back to 1654 and have been designated Important Cultural Properties. During the great earthquake, the torii gate and crossbeam were damaged. Toshogu Shrine was established by Date Tadamune, lord of the Sendai domain, and construction began in August 1649 and was completed in March 1654 to conduct memorial services for the Date family. After the Meiji government abolished the feudal system, the shrine was reopened at the request of local residents. From 1879 to 1916, Toshogu Shrine was designated a first-rank prefectural shrine, and from 1916 to 1946 it was redesignated as a prefectural shrine.
