Itinerary Overview
A dreamlike course where cherry blossoms dance together — the "Saga Sakura Marathon," one of Japan’s 100 selected races with a history of over 30 years. Long ranked among the top ten on the RUNNET website, it is the only marathon in Kyushu held during peak cherry blossom season. The course passes along the Tafuse River lined with more than 3,000 blooming cherry trees. With pink cherry blossoms as its signature theme, the entire race is filled with sakura pink, from merchandise to banners and slogans, along with the enthusiastic cheers of Saga residents. It’s a wonderful choice for enjoying breathtaking countryside scenery!
Saga’s famous historic hot spring towns, such as Ureshino Onsen and Takeo Onsen, are also must-visit attractions for travelers!
