The race starts from Tenjin in central Fukuoka, an area that is usually inaccessible; the finish line is in Itoshima, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the sea and mountains.

Fukuoka Tower

Built to commemorate the “Asia-Pacific Exposition” held in 1989, it is a landmark building of Fukuoka City. The tower stands 234 meters tall, and the top-floor observation deck offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the cityscape of Fukuoka.

Ohori Park

A park located in the center of Fukuoka City, two subway stops away from Tenjin Station. Although it is situated in a bustling urban area, it features a huge pond and abundant natural scenery, making it a favorite leisure spot for locals.

The park covers a total area of about 39.8 hectares, and the large pond alone accounts for more than half of it. It was used as the outer moat when Kuroda Nagamasa, the first lord of the Fukuoka Domain, built Fukuoka Castle.

In the middle of the pond are three small islands—Yanagi Island, Matsu Island, and Shobu Island—which can be reached via four small bridges connecting the islands across the pond. Around the pond is an approximately 2-kilometer walking path, which is not only suitable for strolling but is also a very popular route for jogging and cycling.

Sakurai Futamigaura, Itoshima City

Located in the northern part of Itoshima City, Sakurai Futamigaura overlooks the Genkai Sea. Selected as one of “Japan’s 100 Best Beaches,” it is one of Fukuoka’s representative scenic spots and a must-visit destination when driving around Itoshima. Sakurai Futamigaura is the sacred object of Sakurai Shrine, and in earlier times it was said to be the “entrance to the Dragon Palace.” Its Meoto Iwa, or “Married Couple Rocks,” floating in the sea, are as famous as Futamigaura in Ise City, Mie Prefecture.

Sakurai Futamigaura has also been selected as one of “Japan’s 100 Best Sunsets.” Around the summer solstice, you can see the sun setting between the Married Couple Rocks, making this the most popular season of the year for tourists to visit.

[Visa]

[Event Rules]

• There is no parking available at either the start or finish area. In addition, please do not park around nearby shops or on surrounding streets to pick up or drop off passengers, as this will cause significant inconvenience to local residents.
• Changing rooms will be set up at both the start and finish venues.
• Regarding attire

1. Participants in the registered athlete category may not compete in unusual or extravagant costumes.
2. All other participants may wear costumes as long as the attire is suitable for a sporting event. Clothing that offends other runners or supporters, or that poses a danger to oneself or others, is not permitted.
3. Participants may not invite non-participants to run on the course together. Participants may also not bring strollers or pets into the race.

Please note that if a participant is deemed to have violated any of the above points 1 to 3, the organizer may, at its discretion, disqualify the participant before or during the event.

• Handling of personal information

1. The organizer will comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information and will handle all personal information in accordance with the organizer’s personal information protection policy.

The personal information obtained at the time of registration will be used to provide participation information, notify results, notify related information, provide services from event sponsors, partner organizations, and related institutions, publish results (such as rankings), conduct surveys, and improve services for event participants.

※ Athletes’ names will be displayed on bibs, and information such as their names, ages, and results will be published online.

2. The organizer or a third party approved by the organizer may use event videos, photos, articles, personal records, etc. in posters or other promotional materials, television, radio, newspapers, magazines, the internet, and other media for event management and promotion.

• Other important notes

1. The organizer will transport participants’ baggage from the start point to the finish point. You may only bring items that fit into the carry-on baggage bag provided at reception. Due to road conditions along the route, your baggage may arrive late.
2. Participants are fully responsible for their own physical condition, including undertaking sufficient training and receiving a physical checkup before the race. If the organizer determines that there is a problem with continuing the race, it may instruct the participant to stop.
3. During the event, in the event of an accident, fire, or other emergency, emergency vehicles may pass through any part of the course. In such cases, the race may be temporarily suspended in accordance with staff instructions.
4. Except for those displayed by the organizer, wearing or displaying any advertising materials for promotional purposes within the event venue (including on the course), such as designs or trademarks representing company names or product names, is prohibited.
5. The organizer bears no responsibility for injuries, accidents, losses, etc. caused by reasons not attributable to the organizer. Even if the organizer is negligent, unless there is willful misconduct or gross negligence, its liability for compensation is limited to the scope of the insurance purchased by the organizer.
6. There is no parking at the race venue, so please use public transportation. The organizer is not responsible for any delays caused by public transportation or road conditions.
7. If the event is canceled due to reasons beyond the organizer’s control, such as earthquakes, storms, floods, severe weather, heavy snow, incidents, accidents, epidemics, etc., the organizer will decide whether to refund the entry fee and the amount after deducting expenses already incurred before cancellation.
8. In addition to the above, you must also follow the instructions of the race organizer regarding race-related matters.
