2027 Taitung Puyuma Triathlon is one of Taiwan's longest-running and most iconic long-distance triathlon events. The race uses the calm and beautiful Huoshui Lake in Taitung as the swim course, while the bike and run segments unfold along the East Coast Highway and Forest Park. The event offers multiple distances including 226KM, 113KM, and 51.5KM, as well as a two-day race option, attracting countless triathletes from Taiwan and abroad to gather in Taitung and enjoy an outstanding experience of pushing their limits amid the mountain and ocean scenery of eastern Taiwan.

★Excellent waters at Huoshui Lake: A calm, enclosed body of spring-fed water with clear water and no waves, highly favorable for achieving great swim results.

• Only bicycles and electric-assist bicycles that do not use lead-acid batteries are allowed.
• Electric-assist bicycles may be brought onboard after removing the battery or turning off the power, and the battery must not be reinstalled nor the power turned on before exiting the station.
• Electric bicycles, tandem bicycles, and modified bicycles are not eligible for this service.

※The bike must be fully packed before entering the ticket gate, and the packing must comply with the following rules:

• A standard bike bag must be used: the bike body must be fully enclosed with no exposed parts. Plastic bags, cloth bags, or other substitute packaging are prohibited.

1. Maximum length on any one side: no more than 150 cm
2. Total of length + width + height: no more than 220 cm

• Pre-order product terms: This transfer service is a pre-order product.
• On Bike-Friendly Trains, bicycles may be brought directly into the carriage without folding or packing; on non-Bike-Friendly Trains, bicycles must be packed in a standard bike bag according to the above rules.
• Estimated departure time slots: Outbound departure is expected between 08:00 - 09:00; return departure is expected between 14:00 - 15:00.
• Seat assignment mechanism and results: After your order payment is completed, we will prioritize booking a Bike-Friendly Train for you. Seat assignment will be processed 2 months before departure. Seat availability and the actual train service are subject to the final seat assignment result (100% successful seat assignment is not guaranteed). If no tickets are available in the originally expected time slot, other suitable Bike-Friendly Train services on the same day will be prioritized as substitutes.
• If seat assignment is unsuccessful: If we are ultimately unable to secure seats on a Bike-Friendly Train, we will proactively adjust your transportation to another train type or a chartered shuttle. If the adjusted transportation cost is lower, the fare difference after deducting a handling fee of NT$125 per person will be refunded; if there is no fare difference or the shuttle cost is higher, you will not need to pay any additional fee, ensuring your trip proceeds smoothly and more comfortably.
• Boarding information notice: Exact boarding information (including train seat assignment results and train times, or chartered shuttle details) will be sent to your email 2 months before departure. Please refer to the email notice at that time for detailed arrangements and keep a close eye on your inbox.
• If a Bike-Friendly Train seat assignment is unsuccessful and another transfer method is used instead, the bike must be disassembled and packed. If you cannot accept bike disassembly, it is recommended that you purchase the Bike Transport Service add-on or carefully evaluate before ordering.

※The transport provider will email the pickup/drop-off instructions and operating steps to the email address used for your order no later than the day before bike collection.

※Improperly packed items will not be accepted for transport (bike disassembly is not required).

※When handing over the bike before and after the race, the sender must properly wrap the fragile parts of the bike to prevent scratches during transport.

Terms of Use

【Bike Transport Service Notice】

Thank you for choosing the bike transport service. The transport provider will offer you high-quality, safe, and reliable transport service during the race (event). Please read the following information carefully before purchasing and dropping off your bike:

I. Transport mode description

1. Vehicle used for transport: The most suitable transportation arrangement will be provided based on the cooperating service provider and the needs of each race (event).
2. Bike securing: A professional securing method that meets safety standards will be used according to the transport vehicle type and event specifications.
3. Bike collection locations: Designated bike collection points are set according to different events or cooperating service providers.
4. Bike protection measures and consignment rules: Please refer to the actual announcement for the specific event or service provider.

＊If wrapping is required for the event, the sender must comply with the following rules: To reduce risks arising from unexpected vibration or collision during transport, bare bikes are strictly refused for this event.

(1) Protection for fragile parts: When handing over the bike before and after the race, the sender must properly wrap the fragile parts of the bike to prevent scratches or collisions during transport.

(2) Mandatory wrapping standard: The wrapping must cover at least the 6 key parts shown in the image (see the illustration below).

II. Safety and insurance plan

The entire transport process is covered by professional cargo transportation insurance in accordance with the law. However, the actual claim rules are subject to the final policy content insured for the specific event.

1. During bike handover and pickup, on-site staff will conduct a complete inspection and photo record to ensure delivery safety at every stage.

III. Bike drop-off notes

When handing over the bike, please remove all accessories that are not fixed with screws from the bike yourself (including rear bottle cages). Mounts may be left on the bike, but this service is not responsible for safekeeping if they are lost or damaged.

【On-site bike handover and pickup procedures and notes】

I. Consignment inspection and photo process

1. Pre-race bike handover: On-site staff will confirm the consignor's information. After both parties verify the bike condition, the customer must take photos and upload them to the inspection form. Staff must confirm this step is completed before accepting the bike.

2. Bike pickup at the race venue: The recipient presents the order. After on-site staff confirm the order is correct and both parties verify the bike condition, the customer must take photos and upload them to the inspection form as a pickup record before the bike can be collected.

3. Post-race bike handover: On-site staff will confirm the consignor's information. After both parties verify the bike condition, the customer must take photos and upload them to the inspection form. Staff must confirm this step is completed before accepting the bike.

4. Post-race bike pickup: The recipient presents the order. After on-site staff confirm the order is correct and both parties verify the bike condition, the customer must take photos and upload them to the inspection form as a pickup record before the bike can be collected.

II. Reminder of fees arising from on-site operations

1. Late handover or pickup: During the race (event), those who fail to hand over or pick up the bike within the specified time will be charged a service fee of NT$500. (This does not apply if affected by schedule adjustments made by the race (event) organizer.)

2. Overdue storage fee: If the bicycle is not collected within the announced pickup time after the race (or event), a storage fee of NT$50 per bike per day will be charged starting from the following day after the deadline. The bike can only be collected after all related fees are paid. Storage is available for up to 1 month; if it exceeds 1 month, the storage fee will be changed to NT$100 per bike per day starting from the day after the 1-month deadline.

※ This bike transport service is provided by the cooperating transport service provider Leader, which is responsible for the actual bike pickup, transport, and return service. AsiaYo acts as an intermediary to assist travelers in completing reservations and relaying information. Relevant bike pickup and delivery rules, packing standards, claim limits, etc. are all subject to Leader's officially announced version. AsiaYo Sports Travel Booking Service Process

1. Book online and submit your order: Choose your preferred accommodation and transfer package on the AsiaYo platform and complete the booking.
2. Order information form sent: AsiaYo will send the Order Information Form by email within 48 business hours.
3. Fill in the order information: After receiving the email, please be sure to complete and return the required information within 24 hours so that accommodation and transfer arrangements can be made.
4. Receive final itinerary information: 5 to 7 days before check-in, AsiaYo will update and send you the final detailed itinerary information.
5. On-site check-in and hotel stay: On race day or at check-in, please be sure to bring the original copy of your passport/ID document for hotel check-in.
