■Timing chip use, baggage check, result certificate printing, and finisher item collection :
- The 42K full marathon and 29K super half marathon use timing chips. When 42K and 29K runners pass over the timing mats, do not stop running, and make sure you pass every timing checkpoint along the route. Do not fold the 42K and 29K timing chips, as this may damage the chip or affect timing detection. Participants should fasten the chip securely to their shoelaces, preferably near the toe area. The chip used in this event is a disposable one-time-use chip and does not need to be returned, nor can it be used for other races. Participants who do not fasten the chip to their shoes as instructed, wear a chip not issued to them for this event, lack a time record at any chip checkpoint, or wear another person's chip or a chip from another race will not be timed and will not receive a result certificate.
- Before the race starts, participants should place their personal clothing into the "official running baggage bag" and hand it over to the event baggage check area. Items not placed in the official running baggage bag will not be accepted for storage. After the race, items can be collected by presenting the bib number. Valuable items, electronic products, fragile items, fresh food, dangerous goods, etc. cannot be stored. Please keep valuables with you, as no responsibility will be taken for loss. If you do not have an official running baggage bag, a limited quantity will be available for purchase at the event service area.
- When checking baggage, please go to the corresponding baggage tent according to the last digit of your bib number. For example, if your bib number is "12345," please go to tent area "No. 5" for baggage check.
- Please use the organizer's "official running baggage bag" for baggage check (bags of the same specification in different colors, or running baggage bags from other races, are also acceptable). Illustrations of acceptable and unacceptable baggage bags are shown below.

5. After finishing, participants should follow the organizer's designated route to collect their finisher medal, towel, meal box, beverage, etc. in order. Those who checked baggage may then proceed to the baggage area to retrieve their personal clothing.
6. There will be no on-site result printing for this race. Please scan the QR code on your bib number directly to obtain your certificate.
【Commemorative Shirt Sizes】(If not specified, size L will be provided by default) :

- Roadside parking is prohibited within 100 meters of the Xiangshan Visitors Center entrance and exit. Parking is also prohibited in Xiangshan Tunnel and on the dam embankment. Please park your vehicle in Shuishe and transfer to the free shuttle bus, or park on the mountainside to avoid affecting traffic and the race route.
- The number of toilets at the event venue is limited. Participants are advised to use restroom facilities elsewhere before arriving at the venue to avoid long lines that may delay pre-race preparations.
- Important intersections along the race route will be equipped with traffic cones, signs, police officers, and event volunteers, and traffic control will be implemented flexibly according to traffic flow. Participants must proceed within designated safe areas. When passing through urban areas, please slow down to avoid collisions with pedestrians and tourists. Participants should remain alert at all times and carefully follow the directions of event volunteers for safety.
- Although this race does not emphasize competition, all participants must still comply with race rules, wear their bib number and timing chip correctly during the race, and must not damage or exchange them. Otherwise, participants bear the consequences themselves. Participants must gather in the designated area and wait for the start. Those who fail to pass the starting timing mat within 10 minutes after the gun start may have their race eligibility directly canceled by the organizer. In addition, event volunteers have the right to remove anyone from the course who is not wearing a bib number.
- For the safety of 42K and 29K runners and to manage event timing, the organizer will enforce cutoff times at checkpoints (approximately 12K from the start at the cable car station and 26K from the start) at 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Any participant who fails to pass a checkpoint within the specified time will be required to stop the race and board the sweep vehicle, with no objection permitted.
- Temperatures during the event may be high or low. Participants must assess their own condition carefully and take appropriate heat or cold protection measures. If you feel unwell or show signs of heatstroke, stop running immediately and seek assistance from volunteers along the route (several emergency medical stations will be set up along the course). If it rains on the event day, participants should bring their own lightweight raincoat and pay special attention to road safety. However, in the event of typhoons, heavy rain, or other force majeure factors, the organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event for participant safety.
- The event venue and race course are located in a well-known tourist area. Please do not litter (sufficient trash bins will be provided at the venue and aid stations), and help maintain environmental cleanliness and the image of runners.
- To protect runners' rights and maintain venue order, photography at the start and finish areas is limited to photographers wearing the organizer's official work attire. Thank you for your understanding.
- Participants must carefully read the event handbook and notes, and agree to and guarantee compliance with the matters stipulated by the organizer in the handbook. Participants guarantee that they or their team members are physically and mentally fit, understand the risks involved in marathon racing, and voluntarily register to participate. If any accident occurs during the event period, participants are willing to bear personal accident risk and responsibility during the event, and also agree to waive any form of compensation claim for injuries, death, or any other loss not caused by the organizer. All responsibility is unrelated to the organizer. Participants also understand that race videos, photos, names, bib numbers, and results may be broadcast, displayed, sold, or posted on the organizer's website worldwide. Participants also agree that the organizer or units authorized by the organizer may collect, process, and use the personal data provided by participants, send related road running/product promotional information, or use participants' likeness and results for promotional activities. Participants guarantee that they provide valid identification and accurate information to verify their identity, confirm the above statements, and are willing to bear corresponding legal responsibility. Once registered, participants may not question any matters listed in the race content for any reason. Participants who have ever experienced unexplained chest discomfort (chest pain, chest tightness), unexplained breathing difficulties, family history of heart disease, diabetes, etc. are considered high-risk groups for myocardial infarction. Such participants are advised to carefully consider their own safety, avoid forcing themselves to participate, or consult a physician to assess race risk, undergo an ECG examination in advance, and purchase personal accident insurance on their own. When registering, please confirm whether you are capable of finishing within the time limit. Once registration procedures are completed, participants may not request changes to name, race category, shirt size, or refunds, nor may they transfer their registration if unable to participate.
- If there are any matters not covered in this event handbook, supplementary announcements will be made on the official website.
- If quoting this race handbook, please quote it in full and do not add, delete, or modify content without authorization to avoid misunderstanding. Thank you.
- To protect participants' rights and course safety, non-participants are not allowed to enter the course at will, nor may they accompany runners by bicycle or other means of transportation.
- The participant rest area for this event is concentrated in the large tent on the central lawn area of the venue. There are no group rest tents. Thank you for your understanding.
- If a participant reaches the finish line without the official bib number, or without start, intermediate, and finish checkpoint markings, or fails to complete the full course within the organizer's specified time, their ranking and results will not be counted.
- If a participant engages in violations such as running on behalf of another person or carrying multiple timing chips, thereby affecting award results, the participant's results and eligibility will be canceled.
- Finisher items (such as medals, towels, meals, trophies, prizes, etc.) must be collected on-site during the event period. No reissue, resending, or later collection will be provided after the race.

▶ What's the Difference Between Marathons, Road Races, and Trail Runs in Taiwan (via AsiaYo)?
Marathons, road races, and trail runs differ clearly in terrain and distance:
🔵 Marathon: Standard-distance races, split into full marathon (42.195K) and half marathon (21.0975K), typically held on flat or paved roads.
🔵 Road race: Any running event held on roads, with more flexible distances (commonly 3K, 5K, 10K categories) — great for beginner runners and families.
🔵 Trail run: Courses cover mountain trails, forests, mud, or stone steps and other varied terrain, testing your strength, endurance, and adaptability — highly challenging.

▶ How Should You Take Energy Gels During an AsiaYo Full/Half Marathon?
AsiaYo's runner tips on energy gel timing:
- Energy gels are the most common and effective on-course fuel for half and full marathons, helping runners maintain blood sugar and stave off fatigue during long-distance running.
- A good rule of thumb: take one gel about 30 minutes before the race, then keep it consistent with another gel roughly every 45 minutes (or every 10K) during the race.
- Always wash it down with water to avoid stomach upset, nausea, or diarrhea — and skip pairing it with sports drinks, which can push your sugar intake too high.
- If you're using caffeinated gels, save them for the back half of the race (around the last 7K of a half, or after 30K in a full) for a boost in focus and to fight fatigue — don't rely on them the whole way through.
▶ Where Are the Hotels in the Marathon Packages Located — Are They Close to the Start/Finish Line?
AsiaYo's marathon package hotel selection strategy puts runners first. Here's what we prioritize:
- Hotels near the start or finish line, so you don't have to wake up in the dark before the race and can get back to rest quickly afterward.
- Transit hubs (like near subway stations or train stations), making it easy to get to the Expo or explore the city.
- Some races offer an early-morning race-day shuttle as an add-on — and we make sure our hotels are located close to those shuttle pickup points whenever possible!
▶ Are There Discounts on the "AsiaYo Marathon/Road Race Runner Accommodation Package"?
By booking the "AsiaYo Runner Accommodation Package", AsiaYo can handle your Taiwan marathon race entry registration, round-trip HSR tickets, and quality hotel booking all together — working out cheaper than booking each item separately with added fees. Plus, each package has a fixed price, so it's not affected by real-time hotel rate hikes!
▶ Why Are More and More People Getting Into Taiwan Road Races?
Taiwan road races have a low barrier to entry, plus tons of race options — everything from 5K and 10K fun runs to half marathons, full marathons, and even trail races. More and more events are teaming up with popular IPs or local themes, and with AsiaYo's Taiwan marathon registration service, round-trip HSR tickets, and accommodation all bundled into one package, a simple race entry easily turns into a weekend running getaway!
Come book your Taiwan marathon with AsiaYo and turn your race into an easy running getaway.

- Shuttle service or local car rental may be available depending on the specific race
▶ When Booking an AsiaYo Marathon Package, Is the Hotel Close to the Starting Line? Is There a Shuttle?
For AsiaYo's road race packages, accommodation is prioritized to be as close to the starting line as possible, with hotels near a train station or shuttle pickup point as the next best option — ensuring runners can get to the venue conveniently, smoothly, and safely.
▶ Booking an AsiaYo Marathon + Hotel Package — Will the Hotel Offer an "Early Breakfast" or "Boxed Meal" on Race Day?
For Taiwan marathon stays, breakfast timing generally follows the hotel restaurant's actual operating hours. If your race check-in time is earlier than that, we recommend runners bring their own appropriately portioned breakfast or snack.

▶ First Time Running an Overseas Marathon? Not Sure Which Race to Pick? Any Beginner-Friendly Recommendations?
For runners heading abroad for their first race, we typically recommend races with these features:

- Course difficulty: A relatively flat, scenic route without too many brutal hills.
- Travel convenience: Easy local transportation and a relatively language-friendly environment (think Japan, or other well-touristed cities).

▶ Running in Spring Rain or Plum Rain Season — How Do You Keep Your Shoes and Gear Dry?
We recommend running shoes built with GORE-TEX waterproofing technology, or spraying a waterproof spray on your shoes before race day. Wearing wool-blend running socks also helps prevent blisters caused by moisture and friction.
